Your life is full of important information.

But it's scattered everywhere
Documents. Accounts. Medical information. Insurance. Passwords. Wills. Memories. Expiry dates. Somewhere on your phone. Your computer. In emails.
In drawers. In the cloud.
And sometimes only in your head.
Does any of this sound familiar?
Life happens. Information gets scattered.
When that happens, simple things become stressful.

There has to be a better way. There is.
Your life organised.
Imagine having the important information in your life organised in one secure place - so you can find what you need, when you need it.
MySORTED gives everything a logical place - from documents, accounts and insurance to medical information, contacts, memories and more.
Use the suggested categories or create your own. Organise it around your life, in the way that makes sense to you.
No more wondering where you put something.

Your life. Organised your way.
Start with a blank workspace. Choose from 9 suggested categories, use only the ones you need, and create your own whenever you want.

Sometimes, finding the right information
really matters.
Most of the time, being organised simply makes life easier.
But there are moments when the right information needs to be found quickly - and it may not be you who needs to find it.
Imagine your husband has been seriously injured and is unconscious.
At the hospital, the doctor needs to know about his medical history. Has he had previous operations? Does he have any allergies? What medication is he taking?
They need the information now.
You know it exists.
But it's somewhere at home - perhaps in a filing cabinet, on his computer, buried in emails or in a folder you don't even know about.
This isn't the moment to drive - or even worse, fly- home and start searching.
What if the information the doctor needs was
already in your hand?

With MySORTED, your husband would have chosen in advance which important information you can access. You open MySORTED. The information is there.
No searching. No guessing. No frantic phone calls.
Never let an important date
sneak up on you.
MySORTED doesn't just help you organise and find your important information.
It helps you remember when something needs your attention.
Set reminders for passports, driver's licences, insurance renewals, warranties, appointments and other important dates. MySORTED can notify you before they're due, while your calendar gives you a clear view of what's coming up. And it isn't only about the serious stuff. Add the things you actually look forward to as well - date nights, birthdays, anniversaries, dinners, holidays and special occasions.
From the things you need to remember to the things you don't want to forget.

Digital confidence included.
More than an app.
Build your digital confidence too.

Why we built MySORTED.
MySORTED didn't begin as an idea for an app. It began with my Dad.

We accumulate important information throughout our lives, but nobody really gives us a simple way to keep it organised, protected and available when it's needed.
That's why we built MySORTED.
Not simply to store more information.
To make the important information in our lives easier to organise, easier to find and easier to make available to the people we trust.
Des Kleineibst, Co-founder, MySORTED
More than a decade in the making.

This isn't an idea we had last week.
It's the result of more than a decade of personal experience - and seven years of buliding, learning and refining.
Can I trust MySORTED with my information?
It's one of the most important questions you should ask us.

Your information isn't simply sitting somwhere waiting to be found.
How our decentralised storage works.
Your data is double encrypted, split into 80 pieces and distributed across 16,000+ independent storage locations - rather than being stored as a complete file in one place.

Stories of transformation.
Real people. Real experience with MySORTED.

Your life. Your information. Your AI.
Imagine an AI that doesn't start from scratch every time you ask a question.
An AI that can understand the information you've chosen to organise in MySORTED - while you decide what it can access, what it can use, and when that access ends.
As we continue developing MySORTED, AI is one of the capabilities we're planning to introduce. It won't just help you find what you already know.
It could help you discover what you've forgotten, what needs attention - and what's missing.
And throughout it all, your information remains yours. Your choice. Your control.

Co-Founder & CEO
Des is a retired international advertising automotive photographer living in Sedgefield, South Africa.
Through years of conversations with family, friends, and clients, he noticed a quiet but universal problem: life admin slips through the cracks - until it suddenly matters.
When he faced the overwhelming task of winding up his father's estate without being able to find critical information, that experience changed everything.
Today, Des is passionate about turning real-life lessons into practical solutions, building MySORTED to help people stay organized, prepared, and in control - not just for themselves, but for the people they love.
"This is more than an app. It's our mission to help everyone live a calmer, more balanced, happier life - together."

MySORTED Privacy Policy
www.mysorted.com
Last updated: 7 September 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how The SORTED Partnership, trading as MySORTED, collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal information when you use MySORTED, and explains the choices and rights available to you.
1. Who we are and the scope of this Policy
MySORTED is operated by The SORTED Partnership (“MySORTED”, “we”, “us” or “our”), based in Sedgefield, South Africa. This Policy applies to the MySORTED website, responsive web application, account services, online course and related services that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”).
This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and any additional privacy notice that we may provide when a particular feature requires more specific information.
For purposes of South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”), The SORTED Partnership is the responsible party for personal information that it determines how and why to process. In some circumstances, we may process information on your instructions in order to provide the Services.
2. The information we collect
2.1 Information you provide to us
When you create or manage an account, purchase a Service, contact us or otherwise interact with MySORTED, we may collect information such as:
-
your name, email address and telephone number;
-
account, profile and authentication information;
-
billing, transaction and purchase information (with payment-card processing generally handled by our payment service providers);
-
communications you send to us, including support requests and feedback; and
-
preferences, consent choices and other information you choose to provide.
-
2.2 Information you store in MySORTED
MySORTED is designed to help you organise, store and selectively share information that is important to you. The files, documents, photographs, records, notes, contacts and other information that you upload or enter into the Services are referred to in this Policy as “Your Content”.
Depending on what you choose to store, Your Content may include highly personal or sensitive information, for example identification records, financial information, health or medical information, legal or estate information, family information, account details and other private records. You decide what to upload, organise and share.
We do not claim ownership of Your Content. Our handling of Your Content is limited to what is reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain and support the Services, comply with your instructions, and meet applicable legal obligations.
2.3 Information collected automatically
When you use the Services, certain technical and usage information may be collected automatically. This may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages or features used, date and time of access, approximate location derived from IP address, diagnostic information, error logs and other information about how the Services are used.
2.4 Information about other people
You may choose to store information about other people or share information with trusted recipients through MySORTED. If you provide personal information about another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate legal basis or permission to do so where required by law.
3. How we collect information
We collect personal information directly from you when you register, purchase, upload information, use features, contact us or otherwise interact with the Services. We also collect some technical and usage information automatically through the Services and may receive limited information from service providers that help us operate MySORTED, such as payment, hosting, security, analytics or communications providers.
If a future MySORTED feature allows you to connect a third-party service, we will process information received through that connection only as needed to provide the feature and in accordance with the permissions you grant.
4. Why we use personal information
We may use personal information for the following purposes:
-
to create, authenticate and manage your account;
-
to provide, operate, maintain and improve the Services;
-
to process purchases, payments and related records;
-
to store, organise, retrieve, transmit and share Your Content according to your instructions and permissions;
-
to provide reminders, notifications and other features you choose to use;
-
to respond to support requests, questions and complaints;
-
to protect accounts, users and the Services against fraud, abuse, unauthorised access and security threats;
-
to diagnose technical problems and understand how the Services are used;
-
to communicate important service, security, legal or administrative information;
-
to send marketing communications where permitted by law and consistent with your choices;
-
to comply with legal obligations and lawful requests; and
-
to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
5. Legal grounds for processing
Where applicable data-protection law requires us to identify a lawful basis, we rely on one or more of the following, depending on the circumstances:
-
performance of a contract, where processing is necessary to provide the Services you request;
-
your consent, where consent is the appropriate legal basis and has been requested;
-
our legitimate interests, where we have a lawful business reason to operate, secure or improve the Services and those interests are not overridden by your rights;
-
compliance with a legal obligation; and
-
the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or another basis permitted by applicable law.
Where special or sensitive personal information is involved, additional conditions may apply under POPIA, the GDPR, UK data-protection law or other applicable laws. Because you control what you place in Your Content, you should only store or share information when you are entitled to do so.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies that are appropriate to a modern web service. These may include:
-
essential cookies, which are necessary for sign-in, security and core website functions;
-
preference or functionality cookies, which remember settings or choices;
-
analytics technologies, which help us understand performance and use of the Services; and
-
marketing technologies, where used and permitted by law, subject to any consent or opt-out requirements that apply.
You can control cookies through your browser and, where available, through the cookie controls presented on our website. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Services from working correctly.
7. How we share personal information
We do not sell Your Content. We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including in the following circumstances:
-
Service providers. We may use trusted providers for hosting, infrastructure, storage, security, analytics, email, communications, customer support and payment processing. They may process information only to provide services to us and subject to applicable contractual and legal safeguards.
-
People you choose. When you deliberately share selected information with a family member, partner, adviser, professional or other trusted person, the information is made available according to the permissions you select.
-
Business transactions. If MySORTED or relevant assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing or sale, information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
-
Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, a valid court order or lawful governmental request; protect the rights, property or safety of MySORTED, our users or others; investigate wrongdoing; or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
-
With your consent or instruction. We may disclose information for another purpose when you ask us to or give valid consent.
8. Your sharing choices
MySORTED may allow you to selectively share particular information with people you trust. You control what you choose to share and, where the feature is available, the permissions, duration or expiry of that access.
A person who receives information you have shared may be able to view, save, copy or otherwise use that information outside MySORTED. You should therefore share sensitive information only with people you trust and review or revoke permissions when appropriate.
9. International processing and transfers.
MySORTED is based in South Africa and may use service providers, infrastructure or technical resources located in other countries. As a result, personal information may be processed outside the country where you live.
Where applicable law restricts cross-border transfers, we will take reasonable steps to use appropriate safeguards and to ensure that transfers are made in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements. These may include contractual protections, recognised transfer mechanisms, adequacy arrangements or another lawful transfer basis.
10. How long we keep information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to provide the Services, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain security and enforce our agreements.
Retention periods differ according to the type of information and the reason we hold it. When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymise or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with our legal obligations and technical capabilities.
If you close your account or the Services end, the Terms of Service may provide for a limited opportunity to retrieve Your Content where technically and legally practicable. Certain account, transaction, security or legal records may need to be retained for longer.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical, organisational and administrative measures designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. Security measures may evolve as technology and risks change.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security. You are also responsible for protecting your account credentials, using the security features made available to you and notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
12. Your privacy rights
12.1 South Africa - POPIA
Subject to POPIA and any applicable limitations or exceptions, you may have the right to request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you, request access to that information, request correction or deletion of inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out-of-date, incomplete, misleading or unlawfully obtained information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a privacy request. We may also retain information where we are legally entitled or required to do so.
12.2 European Economic Area and United Kingdom
If the GDPR, UK GDPR or other applicable European data-protection law applies to you, you may have rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent and rights relating to certain solely automated decisions. These rights are not absolute and depend on the circumstances and lawful basis for processing.
You may also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your location. If you contact us first, we will try to resolve your concern directly.
12.3 Marketing choices
You can opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe method in the communication or by contacting us. You may still receive essential account, transaction, security or service communications.
13. Children
MySORTED is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly invite children to create accounts or knowingly collect personal information directly from children through account registration. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us contrary to this Policy, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
This does not prevent an adult user from lawfully storing information relating to a child within that adult’s private MySORTED Content where the adult has an appropriate right or lawful basis to do so.
14. Automated decision-making and AI-assisted features
MySORTED may introduce features that use automation or artificial intelligence to help organise, classify, search or otherwise assist you with information. Unless we clearly tell you otherwise, these features are intended to assist you and not to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you solely by automated means.
If we introduce processing that triggers additional transparency, consent or rights requirements under applicable law, we will provide appropriate information before or when that feature is used.
15. Third-party websites and services
The Services may contain links to websites or services that we do not operate. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy information of any third-party service you choose to use.
16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, technology, legal requirements or our privacy practices. We will post the revised Policy and update the “Last updated” date. Where a change is material and applicable law requires additional notice, we will provide appropriate notice.
